It signifies our intention to grow endlessly as individuals and of those around us. Our mission is to present and diffuse the rich diversity of art from Peruvian culture.

The beauty, colour, and excitement of traditional Peruvian dances will be displayed in our repertoire tonight, which includes dances from the three regions: Coastal, Andean, and the Amazon. Barbara Jackson and Earle Peach have been together on the Vancouver music scene for many years playing folk and popular music from different genres and time periods. We have two voices, guitar, banjo, melodica, and percussion. We play metafolk: original swing, European cabaret, ambient, celtic, rockabilly, a cappella, folk, world, pop, with sharp lyrics and three-part vocals.

Our group is four musicians: guitar, mandolin, upright bass and small percussion. Our music is funny, angry, idiosyncratic, intelligent, and extremely varied. He is originally from the Sudan and now lives in Vancouver. Members of a North Vancouver choir join forces with the Vancouver Ukulele Circle to encourage people of all ages to bring their ukes down to Showboat for an evening of fun singing, learning, and playing the coolest instrument on the planet.

Boaz and Craig are stalwarts of the Vanukes meetings at the St. James Hall. Some say they are a little too serious about it; a little eclectic; a little entertaining. Jhoely Triana Flamenco and friends along with Elegancia Cubana will present Viajes de Baile Journeys through dance which will feature both flamenco and Cuban dances as a way to showcase the cultural links of solidarity and artistic contributions between Spanish Romani gitano flamenco and Afro Cuban music and dance.

Our mission is to bring joy to our audiences. Come along and swing, and dance!
